Pool Games that will Take Away the Boredom

Sometimes swimmers tend to get bored with the same, old swimming routine. They always want to try something new and exciting that will make swimming time extra fun and thrilling. Allowing pool games in your swimming pool is a great idea especially this coming summer season.


Here are some ideal pool games that you can do with your family and friends:

1. Water Polo

This games is a team water sport. Each team should consist of six field players and one goalkeeper. The winner of the game is the team that scores more goals. Game play involves swimming, players passing the ball while being defended by opponents, and scoring by throwing into a net defended by a goalie. Water polo, has strong similarities to the land-based game of team handball.



2. Underwater Hockey

This game is a global non-contact sport in which two teams compete to manoeuvre a puck across the bottom of a swimming pool into goals.

Your team must have up to ten players compete, with six players on each team in play at once.

The remaining four players are continually substituted into play from a substitution area, which may be on deck or in the water outside the playing area.

The cleanliness you pool floor is very important if you want to play this game because it affects the movement of the puck. Pool that are used in this game usually installed inground pool cleaner to regularly clean the floor and to have smooth game.



3. Underwater Rugby

You need to played underwater in a pool with a depth of 3.5m to 5m and goals (heavy-metal buckets with a diameter of about 40 cm) at the bottom of the pool.

Two teams, each with six players (plus six substitutes), try to score a goal by sending the slightly negatively buoyant ball into the opponents’ goal. It is a fast and exhausting game; so you better call more friends for substitute.



4. Pool Volleyball

This game is like usual volleyball game except from few different rules. Your team must consist of six players from your side and the opponents side.

The aim of the game is like the normal volleyball also. The team should return the ball to the opponents side and avoid the ball to fall on the water when it is on their side.



5. Pool Basketball

This game is very easy because it also resemblance the usual basketball game except from some rule exception like "travelling violation" for the very obvious reason.

Your team number may be based on the usual number on the in ground basketball, five players on both side or you can experiment on your number for more fun.
